Nothing like admiring your 996 after a great day of detailing, Wash, Wax, etc - she looks great for being 12 years ago, next is my Targa (once my son returns from Film School) Like all things in life being relative, I truly love my 996's regardless of any shortcomings.

Headlights really need to be restored, otherwise the car looks old. I agree that a clean 996 looks great.
