New 996 turbo owner quick questions about modding
So after about 3 weeks of digging around forums I can't seem to decide on anything. So much info the more i learn the less I am sure about my decisions.
first off i don't race. rarely go to car shows kinda just drive for my own enjoyment. After work stress release I guess. I put about 3k miles a year on my sports cars and usually keep them a long time
Long story short I had a cobb on my 335i. cobb will discount me 300$ on my new one. Is the cobb a good tune or is there much better. I like the fact that i can change my own tunes at anytime was really nice on my bimmer.
My friend upgraded his x50 car he will give me his k24 turbos for 500 bucks is it worth it or a waste. I was told to get the k16 billets but after 600hp i was told i need a clutch? but 2500 vs 500 bucks is a huge jump. So if im only going to boost the k16 billets to 550hp and the x50 supposidly will do 550hp is the 2k price difference worth the spooling aspect? Or will the k24's not push that much anyway.
thanks for the help!
