MP3 players to match the interior

I would really like to be able to play MP3s in my 996, but I'm having a hard time finding a set that will go well with the black Porsche interior. I really like how the Becker looks. I've looked at Blaupunkt and Clarion as likely alternatives, but they don't quite do it for me. The Blaupunkt MP3 players are actually all silver trim or with blue. I would like something black without all the bling bling that predominates the market right now.

So any ideas?

I have come across the Becker Monza which can be ordered from Europe for about $500. It's basically the same as the CDR-220 from what I can tell but also plays MP3. I don't really see it being worth it to pay $500 for the same identical set just to play MP3s.

Any ideas or solutions? Thanks.

Why not an MP3 unit placed elsewhere in the vehicle, rather than replacing the Becker you have now?

I haven't really looked much into the idea. I already have a 10GB player with all my music on it, so that would work well. Where would be a good place to mount it and how would that look?

Are there any pictures out there? My obvious main concern is that it would be ackward looking. But has somebody made it work?

Thanks.

P.S Eric, thanks for the door and bumper plugs! It was the first thing I bought.

or you could get a CD changer that plays MP3 ... there are several available. They plug into your stock head unit, and can read mp3, wma ... etc etc. Pretty sleek. and goes for 350cdn$ (vs the 860$us Phatbox! ...). Dump 200 or so mp3s on a CD-RW, and off you are...
Or do as someone did on here (can't remember who it was...) with an Ipod plugged in the system...

I-P-O-D!!
If you already have a 10gb mp3 players, just get the auxilliary cable kit from Becker for ~$24, then you use the AUX feature on your stock unit. Then the only thing you need to consider is where/how to run cable and put the player. Personally, I just put my Ipod on shuffle, and put it in the cubby below the radio. If you want see what song is playing, I've seen people use the cup holder, or buy aftermarket pieces.

Poking around for a more elegant solution than chucking it in the cubby, here is guy that put one in his VW, but the company that he bought his stuff from specifcally has a 996 mount, and they you buy the holder that you like...you have to go to the PanaVise link
