The BT hands free mic sucks in general on all kenwoods, and most hands free kits in general. You'd think the manufacturers would test what they are actually selling...

I have a NavTV BT kit brand new in box that I will not be installing due to lack of time, bought it for my 997 but should work in any pcar that has the telephone button. PM me if interested, i'll let it go for a good price.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the VSS wire in my 01 996? Would it be by the fuse box?

Edwin- is this for installing a Kenwood? Kenwood does not use a speed wire connection, speed estimation is self contained in the GPS function.
Reverse wire is located under the front driver seat IIRC, but is only needed if you are installing a reverse cam.

Where were your AC controls located? Mine is located above the radio. Is there enough wire to relocate it to the top of the lower console

...broken record....Nice job ! I have my AVIC-F90BT coming on Thursday and am prepped to do the same job. I already swapped out all the standard speakers/amps and added 2 10's......This will be the cherry on top.

Thanks for the great right up and cheers......Rich

I'm installing the Eclipse 6620. What does IIRc mean? I've seen that a couple of times

First post = Welcome to the six!! post pics of your pcar or ban..

Yes there is enough wire to snake the connector to the lower console position. It is a bit of a pain but it works fine.

M32- good luck with the install, I'm not familiar with the Eclipse units. I have heard the sound quality is great but the Nav and ipod functions are a bit lame. Let us know how it turns out!

"IIRC" = "If I Recall Correctly" - ol' skool forum speak... ;p

Will do. Hopefully I'll have it in by the end of the week.

I would really like to see where your you installed the 10s in your car if you have pics.
I just received my Alpine 505 and NAV unit yesterday. I will be installing these items along with a JL Audio 450/4 and a 1000/1. I have plans to use JLs new flat 13.5 sub in the rear area behind the rear seats. Anyone else use that area? I want to keep my rear seats therefore this new sub should do the trick.

Hello!
What about integration with the on-board computer?
I'm thinking about upgrading from PCM I in my C2 -98.
Can I get the OBC-info in a new headunit?

Where did you get the matching ABS for the head unit surround? I have only found a rough textured ABS which does not match as well as I would like.
