Robyn,

Sorry to hear about the car but glad you are okay.
I am sure your car will be done by the time of our next SoCal run. See ya then.

Rich

My GF just got hit and run also!!

She was merging onto the freeway behind 2 other cars and the car that was following her slammed into her from behind pushing her into the cars in front of her causing a nice 4 car chain. Then he proceeded to take off before anyone could get his license plate.

Luckily no one was hurt, but her car is in pretty bad shape. The rear bumper is cracked and her frame has some damage from the impact in the front. Her hood no longer closes properly.

Meh!! Bad drivers suck.

I can only chorus everyone else and say that we're all glad you are still healthy and safe - that's the most important thing. A lesser driver and car might have ended up much worse.

I've had several near misses myself and can't imagine what it's like to have your pride and joy hit like that. Fortunately sheet metal can be replaced and resprayed and your car will be back before you know it.

Hopefully being able to share your grief and experience with the rest of the board helps just a little... We're all with ya...

That sux! Glad you're ok. When you talk to your insurance talk "restoration" not "repair!" Good luck.

Robyn, I am happy you were not hurt in the accident. Your car will be fixed as good as new. I am sure you took it to the best body shop around. I understand how you must feel.

Noooooooooooooo!!

Besides, it's the "Robyn" curse...it would happen in any car I own...since this is the case, it might as well be a Porsche, right??

Estimate of damage is not so bad, just under $5k. After seeing her without all the emotions and anger from the day it happened, the damage is really not all that bad. Thankfully superficial...the countdown begins. May 6th!!

Kirby, we need to get my wheels before then...how much polish ya got left??
