And if i did want to go with the whole decklid/stationary GT2 wing and didn't mind paying 2k what are my options?

in a "Get what you pay for world" no way am i throwing some $500 wing on my turbo. with my ///m3 i went Vorsteiner CF for my CSL bootlid instead of the plastic ebay knock-offs and was ever so happy with fitment/quality . . . i really want to do this once and do it right . . . any good products (besides techart ) recommended?

I'm not fan of most GT2 style bolt on wings.

Either go with the Aero Kit, Full GT2 decklid (misha makes a nice one), RUF/Strosek (gets my vote) or maybe factory look in CF.

Anyone know where to get a strosek or RUF wing (or lookalike) and price?

i HATE the factory aero-kid wing.... ugh its nasty lookin imo

strosek - never heard of - but looks really good

the GT2 add on - is the worst imo, when its up, looks crazy too high

i think stock looks the best, but thats me

I have the MA Shaw Gt2 decklid and wing, and I've heard good things about the Misha GT2 decklid/wing.

I'd say the quality is about an 8-8.5/10.

btw- there is an aerokit full decklid and wing posted in the for sale section...

someone should jump on that. the fact aero-it kit spoiler is a rare find. there is no exceptional aftermarket aero-kit mfgr that comes remotely close to the fact version. one of the reasons they are rarely found on cars not ordered from the fact.

I have the gt2 add-on and its looks great when lowered, but when raised it doesn't look right to me.

I really like the strosek wing...anyone know where to buy it?

Thanks.

Is this the OEM size? Or is it slightly longer and flared at the ends? Does it completely retract (unlike the Techart Type One)?

WOW - what a significant drop off in quality between TechArt and the rest - no wonder they charge so much - so far they have the only products that "look right" IMHO . . . i've been to the RUFF, MISHA, Strosek, MA Shaw, ETc websites and am left with simply "eh" . . . i hope i can find something decent - otherwise i'll be saving up 15k for front bumber/rear wing aethetics (choke) . . . where's Vorsteiner when you need em for the 996?

In summery please do not consider this a knock on the sponsors (as i appreciate all they do for this board) but it's just frustrating when the price difference is almost 10k between the elite aesthetic mods and everything else . . . shocking there isn't a middle ground? my research continues . . .

Has anyone tried this specific CF wing from Maxspeed Motorsports? I'm debating whether or not the weight savings over the heavier painted Taiwanese version is worth the extra $$$. I would likely end up painting over the CF. It says that the wing is only 5.8 lb.

I like the GT2 Style fixed wing, which is on my car... Never have liked the look of the add-on.
