Sure Todd.
Let's get your facts striaght first.

Facts:
1) Evo did not LOOSE their GIAC seller status, they chose to go a different route for tuning, something that has been in the works for quite some time.

2) Their “Shop car” is a stock internal 3.6 and if your heard otherwise from somebody, they were either misinformed or telling you things that were not true.
3) The reason that their car did 5 mph faster than your car did at the mile had nothing to do with internals but rather the tuning.

I don't think you or I know 100% of the full story (both sides) as to the why's and what's but "suffice to say" that neither one of us need to be talking about the direction those 2 companies decided to go. You are a GIAC distributor and they do great work, (I had their software on my GT3 and loved it) but no need to let it get "ugly". I think it's in poor taste for you to bring out something that is not a fact out into the public like this especially when it makes one of your "competitiors" look bad.

If the car was a 3.8, it would be running different turbos than the modded VTG's and would be into the 140's trap. I just spent some time with the car here in MN a couple of months back and it runs a little better than it did before with the new EVOMSit tuning, but not 3.8 better .
Sure, that makes sense. 133.7's within the bounds of reason for the VTG turbos and stock internals, but it's a hell of a run (and to be commended!). If I were going to all the expense of beefing up the motor, I wouldn't leave the stock turbos in place either!

One of the nice parts of getting numbers from a customer-owned car (in this case mine) is that I'm quite sure of what has been done to it. Heck, for that matter Sharkwerks has done all the wrenching on the vehicle and can vouch that it is no more (and no less) than what I'm saying: a stock-motored car with Protomotive, EVOMS and IPD parts bolted onto it. So it'll be interesting to see how it runs up at Sacto this Friday.

It sounds like EVO's built a heck of a package as well. I hope we can find one of Sharky's EVO700 customers who's willing to bring their car to the track and do a few runs with me!

Well, I *knew* this would get ugly, but if you insist on spreading false info like above, I can't just let you. The record has to be straight.

Yes, Evo lost their GIAC seller status. It was revoked without their consent. It was revoked for lack of payment (major, major money owed stemming back many, many months).

According to my direct top level sources at GIAC, GIAC did tuning for Evo's shop car based on 3.8l internals *before* the Texas Mile. This information was not shared with us before the shootout as per GIAC's confidentiality policies, but once Evo was cut off, so were their confidentiality privileges.

Whether or not GIAC software was used at the Mile is unclear, as Evo was already making their move to another software source before GIAC revoked their dealer status.

In fact, several Evo customers bought their 700 kit assuming that GIAC software was installed, when in fact it was not. This was confirmed after these customers sent their ECUs to GIAC directly or brought them to current GIAC authorized dealers for analysis.

That's the facts of the matter, coming from someone who witnessed the whole drama practically firsthand. I'm not here to spread gossip, but the hell if I can let such half-truths and all out falsities go on the public record.

Hey, you wanted to push this further, so here we are.

If this info is incorrect, then some EVOMS dealers are misinformed as well since the info I got was not from AWE.

I know for a fact the EVO car is a 3.6L. I've driven it so many times and we've built many EVT700s just like the two I've released today. It's a fact. Full stop.

Your comment is uncalled for. That is all I will say as I am not going to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
