I agree. We have nothing to hide and I am unsure who deleted it or why that post was deleted.

Duffy,

Was your car stock before you pet AWE's exhaust? How did it change the sound, performance? Thanks

Car was stock and at this time only performance mod is the exhaust. Sound is such a subjective thing that it is had to describe. I think it gives the car just enough extra "growl." The AWE is not for somebody who wants to wake the dead. Subtle but definitely there. As far as performance, while my ego wants "more power," I'm not sure I drive the car hard enough to really notice the difference with only the exhaust. I'm sure adding the GIAC, which I'm planning to do shortly, along with the exhaust will make a big difference.

It's great to hear you are satisfied with the AWE exhaust. We have installed a couple of systems on 997TT's that we have had in-house for testing. The fitment and quality was perfect in each and every case. Additionally, we have an AWE exhaust on our in-house 996TT that just turned 55000 miles on the odometer. Again, we have not had any issues. You will definitely be very happy with the combo you are seeking. PM me if you have any questions before you take the plunge. We look forward to having you as a customer.

How does the Giac work with say a Tubi exhaust? Any specific dyno graphs with this combo? TIA

We have not tested the exhaust in-house at this point. Many of our distributors have done so in-house, with great success.

Hey guys,

At Speed Gallery we finished a 997TT with the AWE 700/750 kit and I could not wait to test drive it. My customer Doug was chomping at the bit. He had all the mods available for about 600hp before the "Big kits" came out. Naturally ready for more hp (sooner than most) he was looking and reading for a while and we opted for the AWE. I decided to start from scratch and try the entire kit and become familiar with it.

We all couldn't be happier. Great parts fit/finish. Well enginneered. You made our job easy. That tame fast car, is now a BEAST. He drove it all the way from L.A. to Oregon and so far so good. Half way on race gas. Even on a 91 octane file we were impressed. Asesome pull! we did not think VTG's had it in them. Now there are about 1000 miles on her and all is well.

Doug will post an impression soon.

Good job guys, glad to work with you on this 997TT Runner!

It's only a matter of time now Gene. I was shocked at how the pes flash I did totally transformed the car, but in a good way. Sorry I waited, the stock profile is so dumbed down. I'm sure the flash program that Gene uses is just as good...do it f the warranty, you ain't gonna break that bitch!
