just a little update - the Porsche Driving Experience instructors from Barber were in Houston yesterday, and put on a 1 day track event at MSR Houston. My wife and I did about 2-3 hours of continuous hot lapping - car got maybe 5-10 minutes cooldown time every half hour or so. Temps were mid 80's and car performed perfectly without any signs of heat soaking, or elevated temps - oil temps were perhaps 210 at the most. Many people were inquiring about the wicked exhaust note under WOT - "Hey, did you do something to that car?"

AWE achieved 11.2 at 128 mph in early testing on pump gas. When I ran the mile into the wind the car was just a tick over 130mph at 1320' by GPS
but that was also with a weak driver performing a weak launch....
Regardless that a pretty good trap and traps don't lie. Alot of people get all wrapped up with the e.t, but IMO the trap speed says it all. To many variables in a e.t.. tires, air pressure , launch technique ..ect.

Mike...You know what I found out...that 997 TT Techart that does 10.8 with 630 package is a Tiptronic...so 700 HP 997 TT Tiptrinic should be able to hit 10.5...
When is your tiptronic set up will be ready ??? Our friend has found tips for ME and he want to do this ungrade but I told them that its ready yet...
I don't have time to read this whole thread, but I notice that you ran a 6.99 60-130. I take that that was with the 700 package, yes?
nice!

Yep - although of course air temp plays a big factor with these cars.
The trap speed seems right on - my 997 runs 128-129 MPH in the 1/4 in low 70s Fahrenheit, and it's currently missing a few parts compared to yours (i.e. stock intercoolers, stock intake). I look forward to hearing more of your adventures
>> i wish i can see a street or drag race between awe700 and evt700

Why not? I'm game - anyone in the Bay Area with another '700' car up for a sanctioned drag race up at Sacramento Dragstrip. We could have a "battle of the tuner cars" meet, even!
