Based on the 07 or 08 year, and your milage, taking for granted that your car is in mint condition, what do you think the market brings for your vehicles?

Ask me in a year, when the M97A1's flood the market.

"So a GTR is more than 2sec faster than a 997 turbo on a 1:40 ish lap by the same driver. Multiply that by 5, and the GTR is around 10sec faster than a turbo on the Nurb. Sounds right to me." - GT-R logic To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
About a month ago they were worth less . In the for sale section posters were struggling to sell 07 cars for 110-115 . Not so at this time .
08 were struggling in the low 120's at THAT time .
Not so any more as the prices are climbing and I predict that when the new 997/ 997S / C4S cars come out for 09 --the used Turbo will go UP because those cars with some of the new options will cost more than some of the bargain Turbo prices .
The economy dropped , a few Turbo owners bailed out of their cars , and now these cars are set to rise --GIVEN --that they are "mint" condition .
As foor highly modified cars -- and that value .... it all depends on how much that buyer wants those mods . If I were selling mine (which I am not) I would insist that the buyer go out and drive a stock 997tt and THEN drive mine .
Then he and I can discuss why I would ask 50K more for my car and not care one bit if he didn't buy it.
where did u get the manheim lists at? I am interested in this list. I will visit maheim with a dealer friend when I am ready to buy. Can't afford it now.

I have never had a Porsche dealership hand me a manheim list but other car dealerships do it all the time . EVERY time I ever got a list I got more for my car in trade in . Why? Because when a car sale is made a trade in is only one aspect . Even the new car isn't full deal . Unit sales. allocation, time of the month , etc ... all add up and if one dealership won't close there are 50 others who might ... just to snag that unit .
I have never sold cars but I find it fascinating because I buy cars for myself and learned along the way .
Lastly ... if a car goes to auction it may be a great car , but it may not . The person or dealership getting top dollar on a car sold ought to be able to place down a convincing argument that the car is worth it . At the auction ,,, it's not known which translates into more risk = lower price sometimes .
Prices vary widely depending on what city you are in and the option packages of course. Don't care though - just love my car and want to keep it and enjoy it

And certain colors will yield better results along with what greta said as well. Every where is different. There are some peope who didn't care about the loss as they had another car coming and they planned to dump it anyways. The more they optioned it the more they lost in the deal. Options are too personal and they have hardly any value to the dealership who took it in on trade or to the next individual. They don't look at MSRP they look at resaleable colors, KEY Options and the rest is just "STUFF". PCCB's clearly showed that is had no resale factor or was a required option for most. I saw PCCB's on some cars for sale and it wasn't that much more for the asking over a non-PCCB car. Even though it was a 8K option. If one highly optioned their car then expect to take the heaviest hit. I learned the hard way a long time ago about options. I just stuck with the basics and added a few here and there. Things that made it a little personal but not over the top.
If the new motor is indeed the M97A1 then it might help maintain the prices of the 07/08's for those who care about tuning until that motor is trusted by the Porsche community. I bet you that I can get more for mine then a RED(No Offense) with more options in the same market. One I am not willing to dump it(don't need to) and second RED is a hard resale. It is a great color but it is for a limited buyer. Just like the Colbalt/Sand Interior one that was on here a little bit ago and the guy was trying to give it away and no one bit. It is a great color but still limited to the potential buyer of that color. When someone is spending over a 100K on a pre-owned they almost want it to be thier own color too just like they ordered it. They can live with a missing option here or there but color would not be one of them. I know I passed on a black one with PCCB's, 3K miles, 150K optioned car and tax free(private party) to get the one I wanted for more. He was giving it away and I still passed. I didn't want black. If it was White - GAME OVER but it wasn't.
The deal was incredible and saving 10K in taxes would have been great but it wasn't worth it for me to have a color I didn't like. The options I could live with...but not color.

I saw Midnight for the first time last week. It is such a nice color in person. It's hard to replicate the color on screen and the depth is amazing. I am not a fan of blue but I would say that blue is one I would consider. I thought it was like a carbon black as in the BMW line but its much nice and richer.
I got the gp7 pes/champions, surper light, super strong.

What we think it is worth and what we think market will bear and what we think that you will give us for it and what someone is willing to give are too many variables to give.
I will go back to an old saying that I heard a while back and keep this in mind...
What's really mind boggling to me is a "USED" 2008 GT 2 black on black with less than a 100 miles just sold here in the Seattle area for $279,000 after less than a week on the sales floor.
