imcarnuts, how do you like the gt silver? i'm certain she is easier to keep clean than the black. Did you consider any other colors?
Thanks for the links. Car looks great!!!
I love the GT Silver. Sooooo easy to keep clean and even when not perfectly clean - looks clean. I've done the black and while probably nothing prettier than a perfectly clean black car - how long are they perfectly clean. I'm 57 and past the stage of drive it - wash it, drive it - wash it. Been there, done that. I had on '07 GT Silver and sold it. Then bought an '08 so I had a chance at a "do over" and still got GT Silver again. Good luck with your choice. Really can't go wrong with either color.

man that thing is hot, one of the nicest silver TT's i have seen.
I would go with Basalt, but I'm biased, I have it and when it's clean I think it's the nicest color for the TT. Also its much easier to keep clean than flat black.
Just my .02

Arctic Silver:
Brighter than GT silver, easy to keep clean. Sratches don't show.
I have black now. Super super shiny but I always have to think twice about taking it out. Dirt and dust really show easily.
So, if this will be your daily driver, some type of silver would be great. Weekend warrior, I like black or basalt black.

Color is a very personal choice. Having owned gloss black and metallic black cars, I like gloss black far better. When clean, nothing looks better than non-metallic gloss black. The metallic blacks supposedly look as good as the non-metallic blacks when slightly dirty but it is still black so the metallic does not really hide any dirt. So, if you are going black, I think you should go all the way and get non-metallic gloss black. Some really love Basalt Black and will disagree on this point though. Regardless of which black you choose, you have to be meticulous in your car care routine because swirl marks are the enemy of any black car.
GT silver is another great color. It really "pops" as far a silver goes. It is super-easy to take care of.
I really don't think you can go wrong either way. I have owned the following vehicles in this order: silver (still have it), gloss black (gone), gloss black (gone), metallic black (gone). I leave the silver truck outside, run it through the automatic car wash, don't wash it at all sometimes and it always looks clean enough to drive. The black cars I washed at least once a week with all sorts of special detailing items.
If you want a hobby, get black; if you want a color, get silver. Hobbies are good.
