You need to either lift your front end on ramps, or a lift to get to the fogs.

When you lift the car, and take a look under the car, you'll see two black plastic cylendars that are twist locked into place. One on each side. Just unscrew them, disconnect the wiring, and unlock the wire holding mechanism for the H3 bulbs.

Hoen states that these new dLED bulbs are 4500K. Are they any whiter than the OSRAM blue bulb?

Your guess is as good as mine. I will consult the owners' manual tonight or ask a tech I know this week. It would be nice if Hoen came out with an LED bulb for the fog light. I would be customer #1.

They are as white as the HID's, and as vibrant. I tried the Philips W5W ($22 from Merdedes dealer) and that was just the exact same as the oem Osram blue the turbo comes with.

Are the cylinders under the plastic lining?

I'll take a snapshot this evening. My lowered suspension is a pain to lift on my race ramps.

bonehead will become famous soon enough
Strange how the owner's manual doesn't explain how to remove the fogs.

I got under there, I see what your talking about. Looks quite easy but small hands will be a plus!

It wont be in the manual because they want you to go to the dealer and kick down an hour or two labor to replace.

Bulbs will be here Friday, will snap pics of the process.

Here are the pics...If you notice the dLED bulb, please note it will NOT fit into the fog lens. It fits in the holder, but has too large a diameter to fit into the projector. I had to send them back to v-leds.com...

You essentially twist off the locking plastic cylinder, pull the electric plugs, and turn to unlock the bulb holder. Hope that helps.

Sorry, confused by your post. The dLED H3's will not fit?

The LED h3 is from vleds, different company. It wont fit and also will trigger a bulb out warning. Its not a dLED from Hoen, those use the Bosch chips that work with the system not triggering a fault.

I tried LEDs from superbrightleds.com in the rear brakes, not only where they less bright they triggered a fault.

I asked the guys at Hoen, no go on dLED fog light, brake light bulbs etc. as they say they cant get the brightness with current leds on the market but this may change as technology improves.

So what is your setup right now? If I remember, Philips Ultinion low beams, Hoen parking light...what are you using for fogs?
