exhaust thoughts

what is the difference between Agency Power and Cargraphic. I hate to sound cheap, but AP is 2k less!

Thank you..let's hear the opinions please....going to do a tune but would like to do a exhaust as well, but 5k extra is a no,,no at this time..2,500 is a hmmmmm, hhmmmmm

Thoughts?

Performance wise, nearly all the exhausts that contain cats will have a -5 to 5+ in hp difference. So it really is more about the exhaust QUALITY and the type of sound YOU are looking for as well as how LOUD you want it to be. Cargraphic is a VERY good quality exhaust that sounds frikin awesome. Agency power exhaust I can not comment on as I have not heard it in person nore have I seen it on youtube. So really no idea, one thing I like though is the price and performance gain on the ap exhaust. However ap do carry some great products. I personally am using their ap intake and diverters and am very pleased.

buy a set of cats and ask a fabricator to make you something similar to this... you won't regret it sound wise...

You get what you pay for with aftermarket exhausts. CG, Tubi, FVD are all very good exhausts.

Make sure to check out the Fabspeed Sport exhaust system we have available. The system sounds great and we have two sound options, the Sport Ver. 3 for 6speed cars and the Ver. 2 medium sound for Tiptronic cars. System includes 200 Cell HJS Sport Cats and makes 25+ HP and 30+ Ft. Lbs of Torque. Feel free to PM or email me if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Yes, you will have to remove the outlet pipe to the tips and shine a flashlight into the muffler. The Ver. 3 has a straight tube without any perforation and the Ver. 2 has a perforated core through the entire muffler. You will see the difference rigth away.
Thanks,

Man, and I remember when I was crying about $1,200 for a Borla for the vette back in the day. And that came with 2 sets of full length of the car. Talk about material cost..

I want a quiet exhaust that give the best performance for the TIP as THIS IS my daily driver...

So, what should I get?

Halo,

You may want to consider our sale on FVD Brombacher sport mufflers. We have 2 versions, quiet version and sound version. If either don't suit your taste, you can also order any of our muffler's in what decibel you want. Our systems also include true dual tips as well, here's the link...

FVD Brombacher exhaust 15 % off introductory offer.

Thanks,
Rhonda

The best advice I can give is to buy the exhaust that sounds the best, not necessarily the cheapest. Spending $2500 versus $4500 on an exhaust only to be less than thrilled with the outcome is like throwing $2500 away. I would try to audition any exhaust you are seriously considering, as they each have their own subtle differences. Also, you should frequently check the 'Parts For Sale' section of this board, as there are frequently great deals to be had for slightly used exhausts. I seem to recall that a Milltek recently sold for about $2500. Good luck and enjoy! A proper exhaust really rounds out the whole sports car experience, especially on the Turbo!

The Agency Power exhaust has been 2 years in the making. It is what you pay for. You pay for TIG welding, mirror polished product, and 304 stainless steel with high flow cats that will not cause a CEL. We built this exhaust to not have the dreaded drone. It is a great system and we are proud of it along with our other Agency Power exhausts for many other cars.

KA - you have the Fabspeed Version 1 which is their answer to those not wanting a louder exhaust. The Version 3 is the loudest. I would compare a Tubi or Cargraphic to the Version 3. The quieter an exhaust is, usually means the more restriction it has. I like the Fabspeed because they use HJS cats.

The other sponsors have good options too. Dont let price fool you though.
