The MONSTER 1037 AWHP car is not AWD. The 997 we are building with the 4.0L will be AWD. We will see if the 997TT front drivetrain is up to the task

How good is the Transmission and rear diff against the current HP I have and how will they do with 800+ HP? I am glad this point was brought up.

My 997TT has some VERY HARD miles on it. It has about 15K miles on it of which the last 10K have been almost all track miles. We have been running our 800 HP upgrade with AWD for the past 4K miles and it has been run hard. To upgrade the drivetrain, I recommend installing a limited slip differential for all high HP cars. I think that the front drivetrain will handle the power, but time will tell how much. If there is someone that will put it to the test, it will be me I have long forgot about resale value on this test mule. This car is 100% R&D and I drive it to break it every time I get behind the wheel

Thank you!

We are going to shift gears here shortly and highlight some of our turbo system. I think we are starting the fabrication work next week. We are in the process of building 4 x other 1000 HP turbo systems and I am trying to sneak in one more without the boss knowing

Is there a particular brand?
What does this installation entails? First I am doing a clutch upgrade... I am planning further ahead as I get crazy with upgrades, once I start, I don't stop...

The 9K rev limit is a function of the crankshaft, heads, valvetrain, cams and overall engine flow. I would not spin the stock 997TT crankshaft that high. The 9K engine will be a complete package and will be built to include everything required to safely rev that high. As soon as we finish the testing, I can get the pricing completed.

Kino,

We have used the Porsche GT3 LSD as well as the ones from Guard Transmission. Both work excellent and depending on the application, I can recommend the one that will best suit your needs.

To avoid confusion, the engine that we are building here is a test engine that we will use to verify all of our measurements, computer simulation, theories, ideas and components all work properly. I have received many PM's from interested members about pricing, etc. Though I would like to sell 10 of these upgrades today, I will not be able to offer pricing until we do adequate testing and prove that this will work as we intended. I appreciate all of the interest and positive feedback and I will post all of the details to this thread as new information and progress unfolds.

All of the EVOMS members that have been involved in this project feel strongly that this engine will perform as intended but this is very much a prototype test engine. This project is a combination of over 8 years of engine development and experience that we have accumulated from well over 100 engines we have built for the 996TT/997TT. This engine will combine all of the proven technology we have developed with the addition of our lightweight race crankshaft, offset wristpin race pistons, titanium valve train, solid lifters, and our custom length Carrillo connecting rods.

In addition to the new engine components listed, we are utilizing components and technology that we have proven in other engines we have developed. Some of the other components that are incorporated into this engine are as follows:

EVOMS CNC Machined Heads w/ Larger Intake and Exhaust Valves
EVOMS 12mm Head Studs Conversion
EVOMS Specification Race Camshafts (Intake and Exhaust)
EVOMS Modified GT3 Intermediate Shaft
EVOMS Case Preparation
EVOMS Fabricated GT3 Manifold Conversion
EVOMS GT35R Turbo System

More details about each of these items will be posted shortly.

Thank you!

jnixon will become famous soon enough
Will this new motor and setup lose any of the daily drivers that the porsche turbo offers. This will not be like the 1000+ hp toyota supras that have two days of turbo lag.

I almost had to change underwear when Mike from AWE took me for a ride in their car. This would be "Depends" territory.
