Itīs produced 2009-02-25 so itīs not the new navi with touchscreen and the rims are PC OEM in black (not shiny black).
Attached some picīs from inside and another cars rear wheel so you see the colour better, I have the same rims with PC shield instead of GT2 in centre.
I hade Ruf 550 on my 996tt, I want to test RS-Tuning now after I read the test:
Cargraphic Porsche

It's not much louder then stock at idle in saying that the dealer noticed it's a deeper sound....on the throttle it great, not loud at all.
I did not waste any time doing the 600HP package, you can say I bought it with this in mind..it had under 200 miles when I did the change.. boost comes on fast but it's not violent very linear.
I aslo reworked the suspension.
It spends quite a bit of time at Mosport, very easy car to drive fast.
RS/CG is one of the best tuner but SO EXPENSIVE!!!
LKP97GT2600 441KW / 600PS / 6470 1/min

All numbers confirm by VBOX....No magazine ****s plus it is customers not tuner cars...plenty of vidz avaliable on youtube from Switzer and Protomotive.
We r getting modified GT2 VTG's from protomotive for 997 tip car...Proto made 680rwhp/800 crank hp on those turbos.
The ICs included in the RS Tuning package are either CTRs that were developed by TB993tt or maybe they are the Secan. Either way, you cannot compare the Proto intercoolers to these, totally different price point and class.
The CTRs are around 12K/set, Secan is something like 18-20k/set. There is most of your cost difference right there.
I have been looking at Switzer bolt-on kit after seeing Dragtimes.info vids SPI 750, no Switzer reseller in Europe yet, Really nice numbers!!
RS/CG is closer to me if a need support etc, I will pay 17600€ for Stage III (635Hp) incl installation, no ICīs are included, ICs are changed in 680Hp Stage IIII.
I read what TB993tt wrote on rennlist, he had problems with launchcontroll after tuning his ECU at that time, is this still a problem after tuning?
The "re-flash" I had, although producing some good power ~615PS was overworking the stock VTGs and after a few 0-300 runs causes the ECU into a limp mode due to too high VTG temperatures.
My next "re-flash" was actually 2 days of programming on the RS engine dyno for a manufacturer standard tune for the new components I had fitted:
RS VTGs
RS Carbon air pipes
RS Headers
RS 100 cell race cats
CTR intercoolers
BMC
The tune is done with water cooled intercooling to replicate the known efficiency of the CTR intercoolers. This was signed off as the "kit 660PS"
The Cargraphic 680 kit for the 997GT2 AFAIK does NOT exist, it is theoretical. It for sure can be built but would mean 3.8 litre rods etc and plenty more $$$$. 660 is the limit which seems to be the bottleneck of the expansion manifold system which works great up to a point (660PS) and then its efficiency falls away and it cannot flow any more volume of air.
The 635 RS/CG kit will be limited by the IATs. The GT2 runs high IATs thanks to the high boost levels of the set up (exp man.). Summer in Monaco you will be down hp with stock I/Cs....
Here is a test I did on stock car (actually headers and 200 cell cats)
In 22.5degC at 170mph in 5th IAT was 62.5DegC so a 40 DegC increase. On a 30 DegC Cote d'azure day that is 70 DegC IAT which means timing retard and your 635 hp will be under 600.....
This test is with full air flow at high speed, I would imagine if you are using on the track with limited airflow the IATs may be higher ?
I would strongly advise M-M to visit RS to get the kit fitted, they will be able to check all the numbers after installation and even do a bit of custom adjustment on the road.....
BTW my November '08 production model is PCM3 touchscreen - looks like yours may have been "in stock" for a while - what are the last chassis number digits ?
