The weird thing is that the centerlock wheel/kit ends up weighing 1 pound more than the regular 5 lug turbo wheel on the 2010....
Funny as this is the quote from Porsche:
"The advantages over a conventional five-hole screwed fitting include better driving dynamics and performance thanks to fewer rotating masses and, of course, faster wheel changes..."

Sharky is absolutely correct.
We are about to release our GT3/GT3RS centerlock wheels and they are actually heavier than our similar 5-lug designs.
Our engineers report that the bulk of the wheel's center section adds mass that cannot be removed. The hub size combined with the high fastening torque required makes the centerlock heavier, no matter what else you do to save weight.
HOWEVER, our new centerlock wheels will weigh about 7 lbs EACH less than the factory cast wheels. So weight savings are still a reality if you go to a forged design.

Don't disagree with either of you...just catching Porsche in yet another marketing scheme.

Increased cost.
Increased weight.
Deteriorated breaking.
Deteriorated handling.
Deteriorated acceleration.
More difficult to remove due to special tools required.
Being able to say, I have center locking wheels.
The worst thing about this whole thing is; I would have bought into this had it not been for this forum.
I'm so glad I started here in deciding how to option out my new 2010 TT. Crossing centerlock wheels off my list. Will add Tech1-110s or HRE P43s later.
