FVD uses the Softronic Flasher Client to read and write, so the process is the same.
Re you expecting this software upgrade (Softronic ECU Flash) to be compatible with MAC Books or do I have to by a PC notebook in addition to software expense?
I guess I could borrow one from work but what if a need the files again when I take her to the dealership or if I upgrade exhaust or intake??
The car is outstanding. I really like the tune, you guys nailed it. I took a friend out in the car today and rowed through the 1st 4 gears hard, hit over 100mph and when he got out he said he felt sick to his stomach its soo quick

Ordered & received SOFTRONIC ECU tune---in Australia.
G'day to all at this forum; from Cairns, Australia (where the rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef.
Flashing the ECU was something I had never considered seriously. I was however, interested in the banter about it on forums. The previous car was a 4CS, and that would not have made much of a difference to justify me to going through the long winded exercise to flash the ECU.
Through you all on the forums I had also picked up that there was more to gain with a turbo equipped car. With the current car being a 997.1 Turbo, I now felt it to be more justified.
The prices and the long process involved were still too high for me, but …………..the SOFTRONIC ECU tune from Dan at Vivid Racing was much more reasonable, in both price and the convenience.
So, I ordered one from Dan, and received the cable 2 days ago.
Yesterday (Tuesday), I hooked up my laptop, softronic cable, battery charger, downloaded the programme; and my ECU file was uploaded and automatically within 25 minutes.
I just wanted you to know that the process was very easy, and in fact, quite satisfying.
Today (Wednesday) both the tuned file and the original file were emailed to me.
I hope to perform the ‘flash’ as soon as I have some spare time this afternoon.
Dan, thank you for your help so far.
best wishes to all.

once you get laptop and cable hooked up it will take less than 5 minutes to install new file.

Install was very quick as mentioned by yourselves above.
I have only had a short period to test the car, being Xmas eve, but...
… the car is easier and more pleasurable to drive. This must be because the power seems more linear and starts being available lower down the rev range.
On heavy acceleration, there is much more urgency and quite a rush!
Cornering in more acute corners, I am getting more tyre squirm upon applying the power. (I wonder if I can reduce these squirms with Bridgestones instead of my pilot sports).
In short, I am enjoying the change so far.
I hope I’ll find more characteristics to report in the next few weeks.
Happy Christmas, everyone.
