crazy Hagerty Insurance quote, what is yours?

Hey guys

I am insured @ Ussaa now with my 09tt, I think about $1600 / yr, which in my early 40's is reasonable (My Lotus was $1200/yr). I'm in CT.

Hagerty passed me a $2100 annual policy quote, I was surprised. They were once MUCH more competitive for me with my earlier Pcars. I was expecting to save a little given my low usage of the car. What about you folks?

You all should be posting exactly where you are, that is the biggest variable when it comes to cost!

I was quoted $1600 for a 2010 Turbo for six months from Geico in Bakersfield California. And I already have my daily driver with them at just $93 a month.

I know that is horendous but that is the way things are here in California. We pay too much in taxes and insurance and a lot of other things too. Can't wait until I purchase property so I can say I live there so I won't have to pay California taxes, both personal and business.

$1750 annually, Farmers. In L.A., I consider it a bargain as I won't go into how many tickets I have.

$1750 is cheap cheap for LA and the odd ticket here and there. Don't know why the hell Geico would over charge the hell out of me especially when I'm already covered by them with my DD. I only got the one quote and haven't purchased the car yet. Could it be because the cost of the car brand new at $170K?

Did you guys buy your cars second for closer to $100K? That could be the reason!

Depends how mich insurance you have too. 300/300 -uninsured motorist -1M umbrella -500 deductible etc --it adds up . 2500 a year.

BTW --years ago I used to be very cheap with insurance . Hurricane Andrew (homeowners) and a totalled 7 series BMW (I was not driving it but it was my car) in the same year amounted to enough of lesson .

My TT is my 3rd car and it cost me an extra $675 a year to add it with same coverage as my other cars. 1000 deduct 500/250k. I also have a 2 mil personal liability umbrella which overlaps my auto as well for an extra 400/yr all through Liberty Mutual and I'm in LA.

My TT added about $460/yr to my policy with my other 2 cars and house with Cincinnati Life. Full coverage, $1mm personal Liability, $500 deductible, low use, over 60, pretty clean record.

Just added my TT to GEICO insurance policy. Its a third car, + $724 for full coverage, $1K deductible, 100/300 limits, $1M personal liability. If I didn't have one speeding ticket on my record, would've been $50 less . . .
