Why! It really is quite simple. If a Porsche owner and can't follow those simple instructions to remove and replace centerlock wheels, I question whether they are an auto enthusiast. I've had to change flat tires in Ferrari's with single winged lug wheels using the lead hammer that comes in the toolkit on the side of the road with no problem.

I don't believe it's a question of complexity or skill...the proper tools aren't even included with car. At least you had a lead hammer as part of your toolkit.

Tts

I have Centerlocks and have had a flat.
That day, was lucky to be near an indy that had all the right tools including a 440lb torque wrench.
After that, I bought my own breaker bar and can torque them later.
No big deal,really.

I have the regular five bolt on my 2011 TS. What I remember was nine pages of instructions in the owners manual for center lock. wow!

Whether you have centerlocks or 5 bolts it really doesn't matter because neither come with a spare tire, unless you're going to remove the wheel on the side of the road and carry it to a porsche or Indy shop to replace the tire. I have centerlocks and when I picked up a nail, I put in a temporary plug, filled it up to correct pressure and then drove home. The next day I took it to my local dealer and replaced the tire. It took less than 15 minutes to plug. You can also call Porsche roadside assistance or AAA if it can't be temporarily plugged. If I were to buy the car again, I'd make sure it had centerlocks because I love the way they look.

If anyone is interested I have the center lock torque wrench for sale since I sold my tts awhile back. Used it 3-4x myself and its pretty easy once you've done it once.
