I received a reply from 4caroption (the ebay retailer). They have apparently sold out, and will lower the price once a new shipment arrives.

Many sellers will raise the price very high when it sells out and return to regular pricing when in stock.

Where are the Chinese GT2 Side skirts?

They show as back in stock (10 in stock) yet price is still $1200.
