I know that they are better quality, light, etc. but i'd rather not spend so much if the look will be so simple.
And HRE quite honestly are a bit overpriced for what they are.

Do you know the weights on them vs OEM? I am leaning AVG. The step wheel is so BMW. Do NOT get black wheels. They are so reminiscent of the POS cars with steel wheels because the kid bought a bodykit before he coudl afford wheels. Frankly they also look cheap. If you are looking to show off a brake kit that is the ONLY reason to get a black wheel, UNLESS you have a MATTE painted car. I love guys going for a stealth look, with a glossy car. Going stealth then REALLY go stealth.

I prefer the aftermarket wheels like the Champions on my car. Better quality, better looking and lighter than stock.

HreP40 will sell for $2500. Waiting on a new set of D2Forged to come in. Originally matte black but now painted graphite.

Those 20" Avant Gardes look very similar to HRE P40SCs, I love it.

No black wheels for me, been there done that long time ago! I'm sticking to machine finished look and in case of lip, high polished lip.

And yeah those Avant garde M590 are the closest to the HREs.

If they were still matte, I would have been a buyer. Not sure how the Graphite would look with my midnight metallic blue...

I'm a big fan of forged monoblocks but If had to pick between your options I would go with the AG's. I love the look of the Strasse but 3-piece wheels can kind of be a pain to maintain. Also, I've a feeling they're comparable in weight too.

If you can spring the few extra bucks look into forged monoblocks. You will feel the difference in just regular street driving compared to heavier cast wheels or 3pc wheels..

I've heard the Niche forged line is relatively inexpensive and their designs seem pretty legit. Check them out..they have designs similar to the P101 and P40.

I picked the stepped lip, which I would pick price independent. My wheels are similar but black.

If you are picking based on price, then the concaves are nice, but I'd take a peek at Forgestars. I bought some recently and they're light weight, inexpensive with custom finishes and offsets. Modbargain has pricing, but I ordered direct.

I like the oem's, but I've always gotten wheels for my cars too.

Agree that pain to maintain. I recently re-torqued fasteners after applying loctite. They've loosened in the past, however I used to track the 3pcs. I'll check them annually, but hopefully they'll be locked down since they'll only be for street. The needed maintenance helped convince me to get 18" 1pc track wheels.

I doubt I will have issues with 3 piece, as I wont track the car and I always wash my car once a week at a professional shop. Plus on a daily basis the car gets cleaned by our handyman

Steve_TT, Could you post pics of your wheels? Thanks

Sorry for a possibly silly question but does adding spacers possibly affect the drive as well as the diff's? I remember reading on here about owners who changed tire size and ruined their diff's that warranty wouldn't cover. Otherwise, spacers sound like a great idea to give the back wheels a more aggressive look.

You can't use spacers with the center lock wheels.

Spacers will not screw up the diff. Different tire sizes does. Spacers widens the track, there will be a slight noticeable change in the way the car handles with spacers. you can change wheel design as long as you stick with the same tire size that factory recommends.

The rear tire diameter needs to be approx 0.8" larger than front. You can use wider tires depending on rim....see my sig below.
