I know Chance, the tech that performed the ppi. Obviously it was a heavily tracked car since the brake wear sensors had been bypassed.

Break ware? Brake wear? Hard to draw a conclusion from that info alone.

I'm glad I didn't buy this car.... I think I'm getting the Black GT2 with 5k miles but I'm trying to negotiate the price.

Yes, thank you for correcting my spelling error. There is absolutely no reason I can think of why you would bypass the brake wear sensors if you DIDN'T track the car. Almost all track guys do it because they normally melt from the heat. The car was also previously marketed by TPC which is a racing outfit so it was probably one of their track customer's car. Just saying as many guys are looking for untracked mint garage queen type cars.

This is ALL very helpful info. It seems the more that I look for a well cared for 996/997 GT2 the more I realize how hard they are to come by these days...maybe the owners of the non story cars just hold onto them. Let the buyers beware!

This car has 5k miles and 3 owners?

i was the 3rd owner of my TTS, and it had 5100 miles when I purchased it. Original buyer spec'd the car, drove it 600 miles, and traded it in. Second owner decided to liquidate (to me) while in the process of buying a new fishing boat.

If I were buying a toyota, I'd worry about 3 owners and 5000 miles, but I've learned with these cars it's relatively common. Just do your homework.
