OZ superforgiata 19"x12" question

any recommendations for rear tire size on 2007 911 turbo for this rim. For the 19x11 the recommendation is the oem 305/30/19... the Pirelli P Nero's jump from 305 to 355.... or maybe just stick with the 19"x11" rim with the 305's??

I'm running the 19x11s with 305 r888s. It's an awesome combo
The superforgiata are one of the lightest wheels available

If it was me and since it's a 12" rear, I'd do the MPSS 245/35/19 & 325/30/19.

I have stock sized Pilot Super Sports on 19x12 - 19x9 wheels, and they look fine. This tire is much wider than others of the same size. I used to have PS2s on the same wheels and they looked pretty stretched.

What offset are the rear wheels because that will determine the tire you can run on the rears.

You should be fine with the 325 tire because a 325 compared to a 305 is only a .47 change which equates to 1.8% change in rolling diameter. As far as width it's a little more aggressive which won't cause any problems.

Forgive my ignorance, but how does an increase in width also increase diameter?

With AWD cars you do not want to fall far off the stock rolling diameter because it can cause serious damage to the differential. There are tore calculators that will give you exact numbers to help you determine what sizes will work for you http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc.php I worked for a wheel manufacturer for 7 years which I cannot name because they are not a sponsor and I don't want to get kicked off, but a common mistake that consumers do is buy tires without the proper knowledge of tread widths and rolling diameters and damage the fenders. Not all tires are created equal so going from brand to brand and even model can be vary with how the sidewall rolls.

Sorry for the thread high jack OP, but if anyone has fitment questions Id before than happy to help as a 997 turbo owner myself.

thanks for the info and link, is much appreciated.

My question was more around how an increase in tyre width would increase diameter, given that I assumed the sidewall would stay the same (which doesn't seem to be the case based on the calculator )

In this case, would you not want to go 315 on the rears to keep the increase in values as close as possible?

Unfortunately no tire company offers a 315/30/19 so you're forced to go with a 325 😞 or stay with the 305.
