Re-Ocurring Cabrio Issue

From the day I got my car, when I close the top with the roof switch, the driver window closes properly but the passenger window will not fully close. I would say it closes 15% and stops. I need to use the window switch to finish closing the window.

At my first oil service, I was told that it was corrected by re-programing the PIWIS. It was not fixed. I brought the car back for the 2nd oil service and was told that the rollers were dry and needed to be lubricated and it is now fixed. It was not.

I made a specific appointment for a specialist in the shop to investigate. He ended up changing the window motor and I STILL have the problem. I figure, it must be a programing issue.

Anyone have any advice? I am going back 10/15/14 for another appointment.

You need to reset. Hold the window switch to the up position for 5 seconds on both sides and it will reset to have full roll up

Same issue

My 2008 does the same thing. It's probably 50% of the time. Doesn't bother me enough to look into it.

CabrioArtie will become famous soon enough
I have '08 and also have the issue. About 50% of the time the passenger window rolls up properly and the other half it starts going up and about half way up it stops and then moves down about an inch or two.

Funny, we are all having this problem only with the passenger window.

Please do yourselves the favour and do the window reset. Takes all but 5-7 seconds and your problem is solved. Everytime I disconnected the battery to charge it, the windows always buggered up with full close. You need to reset it to have it automatic once again.

So..... hold each window switch up for 5 seconds individually or at the same time? Does doing each window reset each window, or is it the combination of both windows that resets the ECU?
