Hey Dzenno,

Couple questions. See the picture below. I've made two circles in red, I was curious what you did with this pipe (or even what it is to be sure) when swapping the injectors on the passenger side.

I'm reluctant to disconnect it at the top (top circle) without knowing exactly what it is. Well, beyond being oil I have no idea if it is pressurized, going to leak everywhere, etc. Given that the engine is not out of my car, it's really in the way of the fuel rail (bottom red circle, behind intake pipe).

Any pro tips? I've got the drivers side done and put back together but my heart sank this weekend when I saw this - it looks like the passenger side is going to be just as complicated (if not more so) than the drivers side.

Hi andym3100k, car is on the road running like a champ. We've got a roughed in street tune version set up on it for now for pump gas, running around 20psi. We're hoping to be on the dyno this Saturday to dial things in after which we're hoping to get some vbox numbers.

For fun so far we've seen a 2.9 60-100mph on our vbox with this conservative pump gas tune. More to follow...

We don't have E85 up here. That's why we left them.

Some preliminary results from the car running a peak 20psi pump gas tune:

2.0 60-90
2.8 60-100
6.4 60-130

620wtq 642whp on our heartbreaker Mustang dyno at 23psi but backed it down to 20psi for now. We verified a 605wtq Mustang dyno pull to put down 730wtq on our local AWD Dynojet (224xLC) so approximately a 15% lower reading dyno than what you typically see when people post dyno numbers from a Dynojet.

Trying to work out a few more tweaks in the tune and finalize pump gas testing and get a new SD card for the vbox lol Ton of room left in these injectors. I'm very curious what a PDK car with this same setup would do

I've wondered what it would take to put a PDK in a 997.1 too. If the case is modular a custom bell housing should let you bolt one up. It might require some custom axles, and definitely a custom length driveshaft but it would be an almost unbeatable combination. Of course getting the electronics side of it working would be a serious undertaking as well .

I'd love to see someone do it.

I was contemplating doing a 996 cased transmission so I can run a GT2RS gearset, but for the ~20k that would cost I'm more interested in spending the money on a PDK setup if the physical packaging is possible. Worst case a Syvecs could probably control it.

Just went over the logs from the runs and they're actually in the 19psi range currently.

Reason I backed down was limited time on the dyno Saturday to tinker but mainly because torque was already too high in the 4k range. 624wtq on this dyno is 740wtq on a Dynojet which by many has been stated to be stock rods limit. We'll be keeping low end boost in check to keep the rods happy as mentioned before but tapering boost up towards redline to flatten the torque curve and see what it can do.

Weather is just really not great for traction anymore, its too cold up here. We've installed new Pirelli Trofeo Rs on it, they're rock hard in these current temps, it was 38F out last night lol Work is in the way of this fun as well and a badly needed vacation coming up Friday
