I used H&R in those sizes for years on my 6TT and tracked regularly. Worked and looked great- zero problems. Still have kit l, but no longer that car. Have moved to the 3 and studs.

No alignment needed. Just bolt on, use new longer hardware and go.

Not high mileage but I have FVD spacers and they seem to be superb quality. Be sure to use the proper longer bolts or you will create a very unsafe condition (inadequate thread engagement).

On my racecar I have H&R spacers which are also very high quality. Hard to go wrong with either of those companies.

Do any of you guys notice a difference in handling on the track with spacers (slightly wider track) or is the difference too negligible to cause an effect? Thanks,

Why, would you think spacers would have an affect to your alignment?

I have used spacers to only help handling on the track. With spacers, I didn't change the tow or camber. I simply changed the wheel stance giving my car more control of its weight distribution.

I did widen my rear by 18mm (each side) and it simply changed the cars handling on the track.

If your intent is only street related, you have nothing to worry about until you start rubbing your fender lining or body.

Not sure where you got the idea that I thought there might be an alignment issue

Mostly just want to see if others can confirm it makes a difference in handling. 30 mm in the rear is about 1.2" and 15 mm in front 0.6". Is that enough to make a noticeable difference on the track or is this mod mostly for cosmetic purposes? Not sure how it would affect understeer or oversteer or change the slip angle but I suppose it might. Or perhaps I'm just way over thinking this. Best,

I think some of the cars come with them. I think GT3's might have them in some cases or I have seen the option

The most important thing you'll want to be sure of when buying spacers is that they are hub-centric. If not, you'll have nothing but headaches.

You'll also want to be sure to use the appropriate length bolts for the spacers you're adding. We sell them in complete kits, H&R spacers with OE-type bolts in silver or black:

Doubtful anyone is running 30 mm spacers. I was referring to 15 mm x 2 = 30 mm total increase in track width. Hope that clarifies......

lol, on the alignment question, not you steamboat, the OP of this thread asked that question.

On the rear, I run 18mm on both sides. I simply widen the rear stance to help reduce an oversteer issue I was having.

Well, whatever you are doing it sure seems to be working! You and John are going to have the GT3 crowd checking their mirrors much more frequently!
