It's a bitter-sweet day as I sold my excellent 2006 C4S cab today, but I get to begin my research and shopping for a turbo. Last time I was shopping for a 911, I was looking for a 996tt, but the looks and options on the 997 C4S stole me away from turbo power. But I digress.

I test drove an 09 997tt cab at the Porsche dealership here, but the manual transmission was not very impressive to me. The clutch was so off-putting compared to my C4S with OEM SSK and fairly new clutch. The sales guy Eric said that the turbos were well suited to tiptronic, which I had never really considered. I always assumed that I would just hop in a 997tt 6sp and love it.

I'm not quite ready to buy a new car yet as I need to save up for a while, so I don't want to lead on some sales guy or private party trying to sell their car.

So that brings me to my topic. Anyone around here want to show me the ropes on their 997tt tiptronic?
