Need new brake pads, so OEM or Pagid?

Hi,

Talked to the shop they say I need new rear pads, so I am looking at what to get...

Car is a tuned (Cobb E85, IC's, Exhaust) 997.1 turbo, it is my daily driver with only a few track days/year.

I drive the car in the winter ( in Sweden) so I need some grip with cold brakes (like really cold brakes).

Should I just stay with the stock pads, I have a semi-fresh set up front so then I only need new rear pads. Or should I go with something better?

I have a very low tolerance against unwanted noise, so if all "upgrades" will annoy me then i rather stay stock (it is still the best brakes I had).

Second question, does new brake lines give a noticeable improvement over stock? Since I plan on bleeding the brake system anyways its a good time to do them.

thanks guys for any advice here...

Definitely oem. Pagid's are for the track, not a Scandinavian winter!

If you go with Pagid, don't get the yellows as they sound like a dump truck. The blacks are much quieter and you really can't tell the difference in terms of initial bite.

I thought OEM pads were Pagid? I know for my car the OEM pads are Pagid P40.

I have a set of OEM rear brake pads that I would sell pretty cheap. I bought a complete set of brakes off of a 997Turbo and ended up only using the front calipers and rotors as I have a 996Turbo. I have the stock 997TT rear rotors calipers and pads all oem with less than 8k on them. Make me an offer for the rear pads.
