Pillow Strut Mounts vs Hard Mounts

My new to me 997TT has KW coil overs and apparently hard strut mounts which I understand are for track duty to minimize any give. Yet the clunk clunk I sometimes hear irritates me. Should I just move to pillow style and if so is this a relatively simple and cheap change?
