Evolution Motorsports Sets 997tt Dyno Record-1518whp and Porsche Half-Mile US Record
Hey guys, what an amazing week at Evoms. They set the dyno record for the 997 turbo platform with 1518WHP on Thursday and on the first day testing the same tune she ran a 212mph half mile (US Record) at the No Fly Zone event in Arizona. Not bad for the first day testing....
Day One:
We mainly tried to make small adjustments. The trans wouldn't shift to third like it was supposed to because the RPM drop was too much so we need to change the ratio out. We manually shifted to 3rd gear though, still making a 212mph pass. We checked the logs and it showed a 20lb boost drop in that shift from 34psi. Without that drop I think she would have gone 215. Keep in mind she doesn't have ceramics and we also have another 3-4psi left in her probably. We put down 1500+awhp in 2nd gear and she hooked it all.
Day 2:
The first pass of the day a stupid injector O-Ring cracked and put an end to our day. Super frustrating because that was my day to get really used to the car, race people, and get some good vbox data. The car did show 172mph in the 1/4 mile on day one and a 212 pass VERIFIED! I will post the 212 pass for you. As soon as the trans gets adjusted I'm going to get more VBOX Data...
The car is puling more G force in 2nd and 3rd gear then a 1600whp GTR on launch! She is also shifting in 50 Milliseconds (twice as fast as a GTR). I coudn't be any happier with this car. Everyone did an amazing job. John Bray is one hell of an Engine builder, Ryan one hell of a tuner, he literally had my car tuned in 1 day LOL....I wouldn't trust anyone else other than Bill Rader with building a transmission as well.
Monday after Event:
John Bray fixed the O-ring on the injector quick. We put her back on the dyno to see what she will do all the way turned up. We couldn't get her to hook, we even put VHT on the tires and two people inside the car. She showed an extra 100whp vs the 1518whp graph earlier in the power band. See attached overlay for comparison.

Congrats Anthony. Thats a dream build. On this side of the pond 9e have set 229mph at VMAX 200. They're going for 275mph i.e. the world record next year! Not for the half mile obviously this is just out and out how fast you can go!

Awesome Anthony. And to think you were deciding between Billet VTG's and Alphas not too long ago lol!
