How do you police HP brackets? What keeps someone with a 900 HP sleeper from entering and winning the Street class?

Based on the data collected over multiple events, its very easy to spot "sandbaggers"

Please let me know if a spot opens up in Street class unless there is a waiting list somewhere I can put myself on?

No waiting list, the best thing to do is make a post on the FB event page (1st post or in my sig). If someone can't make it you can always buy a ticket off them, it happens all the time.

Great seeing all the Pcars get involved, and almost all from this forum. We've got every turbo from 993 through 991, and a 930 signed up.

Whats up man Im sad we dont see as much M3 action these days, Ive always wanted to be able to move my schedule around and come that way to run M vs M

To answer your question, our system is slightly more advanced than what anyone else uses ( its now THE most advanced as we have since customized it further). So we have the ability to log ET as well as mph, which is much more accurate than just mph.

Since the ET+MPH system was used over several events now, we have a databank of what cars with actual known HP vs ET vs MPH over a vast array of platforms and can easily see who lifting and who is all out.

With the latest upgrade we are even more accurate and its going to take roll racing to the next level.

Now you may be saying, well, i can just run all out on less boost, and then turn it up. You sure can, but here's where it gets tricky...

Do you want to be racing all day not all out and losing? I dont think anyone likes losing, especially intentionally with no $ on the line.

Secondly, if you turn it up and go faster than that class has seen, landing you in the ET/MPH range of the next class up your DQ'd.

hope that helps, we gonna see the M at SS8?

That makes sense. I asked because I have been getting a lot of questions after last Shift Sector event about how much power my car is making. People are saying I'm sandbagging at a claimed 650 wheel. The issue is that the 997.2's and 991's can have significant issues dyno'ing without removing the brakes at elevated power levels (rotors will be glowing after a dyno run as PSM cannot be turned off) so likely I will never dyno. I'm running with cars making a lot more than 650 wheel but maybe it's just the efficiency of the platform or maybe there's something else but with newer cars with sophisticated stability controls systems that can't be defeated with the press of a button, policing HP seems like a tough job. In addition, 500 wheel on a Mustang is different than 500 on a dynojet and different than 500 on a hub dyno. Just another variable to deal with.

My M is done racing. I had bad luck at the last NFZ airstrip event with the intercooler pump broken and didn't know it. I can't even tell when the car drops 100 HP lol. It is so slow compared to the Porsche now it feels like a stock NA M3. Besides, the fastest ESS M3s cars are the ones that use the trunk-mount water reservoir, like Bihn's and I think some of the ACM M3's. Those are the stock motor S/C M3s to beat and they are all on the East Coast near you.

by HP does take work, and sandbaggin will always be there, its on us to reduce as much as feasible. But the intent of these events is to mimmick streetracing as much as possible while providing more feedback for forum arguing

I think your on point with the car just being more capable. we have a slew of 996/997s out here that run very very VERY strong, stronger than the HP would suggest. Im pretty sure you know Efi and his champion 997, and thats proof right there, they are just well sorted cars.

As for the M's, im friends with them all, mostly. and we run every chance we can. I dont count the one car thats pushing 10psi on "93" since we all know that motor is toast in due time. It did its job for a single glory run, ill give him that, but realistically its not something that i call an everyday car.

Goodluck out there man
