TheRock's 997 TT Steering Wheel Upgrade DIY
OK Guys,
Since it is too cold and nasty out to drive the Turbo, I just keep thinking of things to upgrade, and when I do, I try to create DIY's to help others.
If you have a better way to do it...Knock yourself out. I created this DIY and in the spirit of helping my fellow enthusiasts.
Good luck to you all. On this one, I have not completed my install because I did not feel like heating up the garage..AGAIN...and it is 7 degrees out...So I spent the time writing the rest of the process, and borrowed a few photos to complete it
Certainly, if you see opportunities to help others, or tips please post here for them.
Remember, I host these on my personal web server, so if it gets a lot of traffic, it may flake out....so just try again until it works.

Enjoy, and let me know if it helps....

Another great diy Rock. The only thing I can comment on is you should bring your door window down a bit or open it before disconnecting the battery. With the power disconnected if you try to open or close the door the window will jam into the weather stripping. Ask me how I know.lol

Take care,

EDIT : I added it in big bold red text and published the new one now. Thx

Hey Thanks! That is a great suggestion. I will update and add that so no one encounters that issue. I usually have it on the lift and the door opened....so did not think about it. And it also reminds me to include NOT TO CLOSE THE BONNET after disconnecting the battery
Take care,

I have good samaritans that like to "do me a favor" and close my hood over the winter while the battery is removed. Huge pain in the *** so I've taken to putting zip ties around the hood latch so it can't be fully closed during storage.
