Nurburgring
I'm off to Germany tomorrow and to the Nurburgring for a taxi ride in a 991 GT3 (I'm sure it'll beat the pants of my turbo on a track) then to the Hockenheimring for a tour. This should be the highlight of trips this year, even with tickets to the F1 race in Austin, TX. I'll post pictures upon arrival back in the states!

Sounds like a blast! I would love to get to the ring some day. I went to the inaugural F1 race at COTA and took a taxi ride in an F1 car. I highly suggest adding that to your taxi ride adventures as well.

Wow that's incredible. But I have a question - how do you get a "taxi" ride in a car with only one seat?

They have a tandem seat Indy car. You can see one in a Mario Andretti commercial. You squeeze in behind the driver. I hear if you are 6' or taller you probably won't fit. A friend did it will Dell here in Houston a few years ago.

That's amazing. Hope they were pushing it for you!

The G forces were violent. I was nauseated for about 4 hours after my ride.

I'll be curious if you hit the 250 kph speed limit at the ring. I think there is also a 200 kph limit in some sections. Speed limits were imposed after a GTR went airborne a little while ago and killed a spectator.

No speed limits anymore
