GT2 RS Intercooler

GT2 RS Intercooler
I currently just have a remap and exhaust. I only do street use and don't live in a particularly warm climate.
Would the GT2 RS Intercooler be beneficial to me? I have not noticed the loss of power yet even when pushing it?
Would having the intercooler mean I could have a more aggressive map?
Doubt I will keep the car for more than a year so want to make sure it's a worth while mod considering the above.
Thanks

If you have a 997.2 then this is your the same IC's as you already have.

I agree with this statement. Why bother with mods for 1 year ownership. Just enjoy as much as you can since your days on the car are numbered

Personally, I would just sell the car.
If you feel you wont keep it for more than a year, get rid of it. I don't think intercoolers will change your mind but, try a tune first if your car doesn't have one already. Your turbo duty cycle wont show much change by your driving description on a stock map.

But if you ain't keeping the car why mod it?

As others have indicated, it is a personal decision as to how much to spend on mods if you are not keeping it long.
That said, a tune certainly drastically improves performance on these cars. And the intercoolers mentioned work very well to keep the IATs lower and recover (cool back down) very quickly, so your car will run better, longer by not suffering from timing changes due to IATs getting/staying over ~110 F.
Good luck,

Yes he did... and I do not think I indicated otherwise that I am aware of?....I simply stated that a tune drastically improves performance (AND) the IC's in question work very well to keep the IAT's down. I think that was the OP's general question.
So to be clear...most/all tunes will increase boost, which will increases turbo temps, and the better IC's will help keep the IAT's lower and/or recover quicker, so you do not create a situation where the ECU changes timing and degrades performance to cool the engine back down... So you can maintain power levels ...
Hope that helps...

Yes. 997.2 IC's are the same part numbers as the GT2RS and are in fact the same IC. So if you have a 997.2, no reason to upgrade to that solution (you already have it).
