Check with Ryan at Suncoast. So far it seems that they have been able to develop steering wheel upgrades (to the next model) for the late model 911. i.e.. 997.1 to 997.2

It's over 3k just to try. I will wait on this one. I would imagine you would just need the wheel with airbag and the corresponding module. Then a little piwis magic.

I'm a wheel *****, I'll subscribe. If course not only $3k, but messing around with an airbag. Biggest challenge is that the new wheel has lots of controls that probably won't work, not as big of an issue with the prior wheel swaps.

Too bad you can't swap in the 09+ radio/dash console unit.

Yes, on the German Porsche forum.
Just a straight swap but MF buttons do not work.

Multifunction is one thing. Do the horn and airbag work and are there any dash lights on is what I would like to know.

I'm glad this has been done. I'm a big fan of the new steering wheel design. The only thing I would like to know is if the cayman gt4 steering wheel would fit (my car is a manual and I don't want to go for the multifunction options)

Thanks
