Yup.. part of the disease is having fun doing it.

I bought mine already done and sorted (for the most part)

planning on going e-85 in spring

I'm at 700 right now. Hoping to squeeze a little more juice before I do turbos

Very nice!!! I'm a DI car. Can't do E85... soooooo I'll either do two tunes, one on 93 and the other on 109 or just bite the bullet and run meth. I haaaate running meth though. It was a pain in the **** on my Vette.

I'm at 546awhp right now with a tune and Europipe. Car has run a 6.70 1/8th mile and 10 sec 1/4 mile so far in the summer heat. Just ran my first 1/2 mile event this past November and it ran 153mph. Definitely needs intercoolers!!!

What meth setup did you use? I had Alky control on my Vette. Used 100%... it was meth dependent not meth supplemented.

Nice! Know of anyone running 100% in these cars? I haven't done a lot of research yet... keeping that as a last option.

I've heard it on Corvettes. Sounds amazing on those cars... I'll try to find a sound bite for our cars. Thanks!

I think Adam (Longboarder) runs a mix of meth as well. I'll have to ask him.

(heated and ventilated seats) but, it doesn't check every box.

I can't afford ANY car I want like some can, but this car is so docile it's just boring at times. Without beating a dead horse speaking about my last car, it was a car you had to drive if you know what I mean? High horsepower and rwd was too fun, but I wanted a car my wife and I could both enjoy... enter our low mileage 2011 997.2 TTS!

My only intent in posting up this thread was to get a general idea as to the major shortcomings of a 458 as far as costs and such that might hender ownership? I already know what I have with our Porsche. Reliability, trustworthiness, predictability, fairly obscure, and bonus that the wife LOVES the car... My problem is it's hard to keep my attention unless the car is raw, this car isn't. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your post.
you will be extremely disappointed if you roll race or race from a dig in a 458 ( extremely ) if you think your P1 car is docile? It will wax a 458 all day long

Thank you, point WELL taken. You're so right. This car is pretty fast, just seems docile I guess. I think if I can get it where I want it I'll probably be happier with it. As silly as it sounds, my wife looooooves this car and if it keeps peace and harmony and mods free flowing I think I should keep it. Hahahaha! Thanks for your input.

If you think about it, 0-60 in the 2 second range is anything but docile....and it's one of the VERY few cars that will accomplish this. That's actually quite violent rather than docile. It'll also pull hard to almost 200 MPH. Docile it is not...The word would be "refined"

See, that's why I love you guys here on this forum. You think rationally... 😬 I'm actually glad I had posed the question and got a lot of great feedback. I do think you're almost 100% correct with the exception being pulling hard to top end. My car runs out of horsepower and I feel it falls a little flat after about 1/4 mile or 130mph. I really noticed it in November at the 1/2 mile event.

I drag race and it pulls extremely well to the finish line, but after that it needs help. Again, maybe it's just the "refinement" I'm feeling?!?!! Ha! Thanks for your input my friend.
