997.1 Pdk steering wheel upgrade

I hope it work because I have been waiting a long time for someone to complete this. Lot of 2008 and 2009 but for some reason there is an issue with the 2007.

It was plug and play, everything was working right after the installation from the start of the engine, no programing was necessary in my case. There is a “sport” sing on the left side of my steering wheel when I activate “sport mode” as well No errors on dashboard and the horn is working without any issues.

I wish it was that easy... I have another appointment with Carlson in Redwood City and hopefully they know what they're doing. But so far air bad has hard fault and stock functions on the left side doesn't work. Horn honks... no go on the paddles so far although they did program the Pdk.

Success
I want to report that everything is working perfectly as they should and then I'm loving it! Thank you everyone for your help ! The guys at Carlsen Porsche are awesome!!

Nothing just programming. I plugged everything in correct and I knew that I did everything right on my end. The errors were just because the car didn't recognize the new airbag and module. The guys at Carlsen charged me two hours to program it correctly and they did. So I guess if there is anyone in the bay who needs this done, Carlsen in Redwood City knows what's up.

I also want to report for anyone who is thinking of doing this project that the airbag I bought was the 2011 and up Boxter Panamera air bag. It worked perfectly and they are easier to find than what Suncoast gave me.

Nice steering wheel swap.
Seeing as a few of you guys have done the swap I would like your help.
I have a 09 997 GT2 in the United Arab Emirates.
The steering wheel I want to put is from the Cayman GT4.. I know that it fits perfectly however the Porsche dealer here are afraid that the airbag won't work.
What do I have to do to get it to work?
Do I need to buy the airbag from the cayman gt4 ? & I'm confused as to which steering wheel module I would have to get.
I'd appreciate if I can get some guidance!

I've updated to the 997.2 then to the 991.2. For the 2009 upgrade, I bought a used module, and it was plug and play.
If you've already done the module change required on pre2009, the new wheel paddles and airbag work. However, no one has figured out the switches. I paid $500 for a used wheel and $600 for a leather airbag.

that is hot, so basically all u needed to do to get the horn to work was simply the 2009+ steering wheel module, and the 991.2 wheel was pretty much plug and play correct? (just referring to the horn as i understand the 991.2 MF wont work)
thanks in advance.

Right... a 2009 module for a 997.1 (part number above) to get the paddles and horn to work. I honestly think any porsche 997.2 pdk module will work, but I'm just going off the pioneers that started with the 2009.
I bought a used 2010 with that part number and it didn't require programing. I figured worse case scenario, I would have to get it programed.
If you have a 2009 and up it should be plug and play for paddles and horn. The multifunction is still a challenge and will probably never work.
