Hard to believe it to be honest... What compression?

now you have seen it

I don't see a reason for me to "deflate" boost numbers, it runs what it runs... if it took 20psi I'd post 20psi.

compression was raised to 9.4:1

Im not discrediting you at all. Great job!

I still dont see it with the boost your running and the compression ratio...

You're heads must be extremely efficient.

Overall congrats Mark, I believe my built can't exceed 750-800hp with pumpgas, and at 1,25/30 Bar...

Regarding the C ratio, my Mahle 3,8 kit was rated to 9,4/1 but I checked it and it was truly 8,8/1.

I am not taking it that way at all, that is just what it is. I don't expect people to not question it or for no one to raise their eyebrows especially when most are used for it taking 30psi and race gas to make a 1000whp.

These heads and cams are very efficient and so is the intake manifold. This engine took a lot of time, money and effort to get right.

For what its worth this isn't the end goal by any means and just a stopping point for this week. What I am really looking forward to is actually turning the boost controller on and running 2x the boost its running now on some good gas.

Mahle makes two different design 3.8L piston kits a 8.8 and a 9.4 .... one I am using is a 9.4

Stop thinking air pressure and begin thinking air volume... these are huge turbos and the comparison to GTR b/c its 3.8 its totally off, these 2 engines couldn't be more different architecture wise.

Bring the bar up Mark I'm just around the corner Congrats!

Im not talking race gas... "most are used to the 30psi and race gas" I have run 30+psi on pump daily 15 years ago.

Seems like this setup should make easily 1500+whp on race if not more!

Needles to say with such low compression and low boost youre making more power than any car out there on pump... Youre making more than UGR 2R on pump at the same boost!

show me any twin turbo 996 or a 997 that runs 30psi daily and actually hits 30psi on 93 octane on ANY turbos for longer than a week and i'll buy you a space shuttle lol. doesn't exist . if you are talking another car, that's irrelevant because my daily Golf R runs 28psi on 93. apples and watermelons.

Its exciting to know I am making as much as an 2R, I never knew what boost levels they run. I am sure that with a v10 it will have a lot more area under the curve than me even if peak HP is the same.

Congrats Prodigy, insane figures! Is it safe to say that, with this build, the journey is more fun than the destination (I.e, what's your expected end usage of this car, 1/2 mile events?).

It seems like porting factory heads is a waste of time for a bigger build. Just go straight to the GT3 heads.

not at all. you can get some great results out of turbo heads, there are some awesome places around that do magic with them. you can get the pockets to be same as GT3.

heads I am using are GT3 cup heads with small spark plugs which allow for very big valves that you can not achieve with standard plug hole size.

Stock heads can rev to 7800rpm
Sergie 3.8 w/35's made +800whp at 1.6-1.7bar on pumpgas
Another 4.1 w/35's made about 1000whp on pumpgas also
Both cars runs Syvecs ECU and tuned by Ryan G
Peak power means nothing. REAL world restults is the most important

this I would really have to see to believe, I don't think 35s can make a 1000 on pump gas even if it was a good flowing 4.0L. they would need more boost than octane can support. also depends what dyno we are talking about, if we go by hub dynopack then 1100 is possible

800-900whp 35s on pump on high revving good flowing engine is achievable I think
