Golf clubs in a 997?

Hi Everyone,

I am getting a 2007 Carrera S on Saturday (my first Porsche!) and was wondering if anyone has managed to fit a set of golf clubs in the car. I was thinking I could wrap my golf bag (sans driver) in a quilt and put it on top of the rear seats. Has anyone ever tried this?

Thanks

Did you not make sure the clubs fit before getting a Porsche???
Are you a player or hacker....?

Golf clubs will fit in the back horizontally across the two rear seats. I've fit a set of clubs with 46" shaft drivers and it still fit perfectly fine.

You can fit two sets of clubs in the back. You may need to take the driver out of the bag.

You can put them on the floor in back or I usually just put mine in passenger side in front.

I take out all of the woods and lay them on the flat passenger seat I recline it as far back as I can then just lay the bag down next to it. I usually lay a sheet or towel under my bag so there is no rubbing on the seat. The base of the bag and heads of woods sit on passenger floor.

I get a full set of clubs over the rear fold downs for longer trips (pebble) and locally I just use the front seat no issues!

Passenger front sheet. Fits like a charm. They are said to fit in the back too, but I figure scratches are more likely that way.

I do the same thing. However, if you have to make a sudden stop or brake hard due to unforseen circumstances, those bags will launch against the backs of the front seats (speaking from an unfortunate experience)

One bag fits quite well with the back seats folded down. As someone else mentioned, taking the driver out helps a bit. I move the pass seat back all of the way and use a towel around the base of the bag to help prevent any marks. I also have a Targa, so the rear hatch helps tremendously for getting clubs in and out.

In my coupe I wrap the bag in beach towels, fold the back seats down and use the seat belt in the back to secure the bag.

Works great! Bit of a PITA but if that is my biggest problem of the day than life is pretty good.

Even better!

I had the same issue. I was browsing www.porschesuperstore.com and found a cover made especially for the problem. For $90, it covers your clubs and protects your interior. Do a search on the site using golf.
