This might be a dumb question, but can you order the colored gauge faces from a porsche dealer? Reason being, I want red gauges in my car, but I am not to fond of the aftermarket faces with the "heinz" logo in the speedometer.
I think you can only order the colored faces as a complete new gauge pod assembly. Keep an eye out on ebay, sets of just the faces do come up- I scored mine from a dismantler in Germany.

. just as a disclaimer i did it on Cayenne 2009. I would assume it is the same on other models/(recent years). First dial them to the left till stop (0 or whatever it shows on the dial) that way you know at what position to put them back. then pull off. when you plug dash back it will make strange sound for a bout 2 sec. that is normal.
Thanks- I also have a CTT so I'll take a quick side-by-side look. I'm hoping this method will also work fine on the small gauges like oil temp / pressure. Did you change all of your gauge faces or just the large ones?

FYI- Gemballa sells all colors of OEM-looking gauge faces for 997. Go to www.gemballausa.com and email / call for the product catalog.
Does anyone know how to remove the clock and trip odometer button tips? that is holding me up from pulling apart the gauge pod. I can't see how to take off the knob tips.

I have been following this thread. I am interested in getting red gauges installed, but the only aftermarket vendor that is out there is "Hienz" gauge faces. They look like good quality, but they have the logo on the gauge, which makes it a little on a the rice side. How much are gemballa gauge faces? My main problem is finding gauges faces that are OEM. I doubt I will have luck finding a used oem cluster on ebay that has red faces....

Gemballa gauge faces look 100% OEM and come in several different colors. You'll have to contact them for price and a pdf of their catalog, I don't know the cost. This would seem to be the only alternative solution available.
