Blakt Out at Road Atlanta pics

Hey guys,

Ran at Road Atlanta with Peachstate PCA this weekend. Was a blast. I did my Panoz Driving school there, but haven't had my 911 on it before. Compared to VIR, it's much less rhythmic and very intense. I love it though! Maybe it's that I'm so much more familiar with VIR. I had a blast and the car handled SO WELL. Thought you might enjoy the pics. Oh, those custom duct tape numbers are copywritten. (The real numbers went to Synergy and I didn't have time to get them).

Love the car and how you are enjoying it. This is what owning a sports car is all about. I am off to Sebring this weekend. I hope to run Road Atlanta someday soon!

Nice job on the brakes! Car looks good, you should go to www.rennline.com and order some numbers for your car. Good to have a second set for back up.

Road Atlanta looks like a really nice track.

Great pics. Looks like you had a blast. Did you burn up the pads at RA or were they a result of accrual.

Thanks everyone.

I didn't get a time. It was really heavy traffic, but the car ran really well.

As for the brakes, I ran them a little bit at CMP on Monday (a week ago) and then 4 20 minute sessions at RA did this. So, in all, they lasted about 130 minutes. Yep.

It was a blast. Road Atlanta is a great track.

Brembo Race for the 380mm rotors and piston calipers.

Looks like a super fun couple of days. The car looks great and very planted in the pics.

The Brembo 6 piston pads are made by Ferodo and have great bite but wear very quickly on the track as Blakt demonstrates nicely for us!

Made by Ferodo. Cool. Yes, they wear extremely fast. Plus, the monoblock design doesn't allow for you to change the pads with the caliper on. Unless you (58) know something I don't. You know of another pad? I am looking for the Performance Friction 97 compound to give it a try.

I'm not aware of another option at the moment, so let me know if you find one . I've heard that Pagid is going to produce a range of replacement pads for the Brembo set up.

I was at Chateau Elan that weekend and spoke to a couple guys that stayed there as well. I stopped by RA and did some watching. Some SICK Porsches driving around all weekend. Spoke to this gentleman briefly, sick GT3!
