If you are talking about the Proxies 4, horible tire!

If it is another Proxies, then I don't have an opinion.

The R888 is good and comes in stock sizes in 19's for 997's. It's the tire they use in the Speed world series and it has good grooves for the rain too like a Pirelli Corsa but it's half the price.

I have heard that the R888 is a good tire. Will most likely use that one next year for the track.

Want the best? Get Michelins.

Pirelli Nero Corsa excellent on 997 too, but need good pavement.

After these Toyo would be my choice. Tremendous endurance in tough conditionts (read potholes, grooved pavement, etc), good wet handling and decent enough dry handling.

very good tire IMO

Great all season sport tire for the $.....IMO, ask if anyone has them on a 997 for best comments, thats what I have them on. I believe someone had them on an AWD Audi 4dr and didn't like them, which is good data but not sure as relevant as having them on a 997 if thats what your looking to have them on. Much different car then my rear wheel drive P car. What kind of driving will you be doing?

Yup, that was me. Good memory. Not sure if the tire is still available, put the Toyo Proxies 4 is what I ran on my Audi.

New mods are awesome. Ran with a set of 19" wheels on Friday (with MPSC tires) and loved it. I think that you should go with the same mods! Seat prices are going up soon.

+1 on good feedback on them. we have them on both our 996 and 986 as street tires as well as autox. they've held up very well and we've been happy with them. =)

we have used pirellis as well for street tires, but there is a significant $$ when it comes time to buy new tires. =D

The R888's needs to be shaved and heat cycled to work properly, I find they are tough to use consistently, they howl like there is no tomorrow. I would get the Pilot Sport Cups.
