How are techart skirts installed/attached?

Since i didnt see them in person before they are installed, i wanted to know how they are attached to the car? Are they held by clips?, double-sided tape?, polyurethane?

Also, is there an oem skirt that comes off before the techart one goes on? or does it go over the oem one?

I'm not sure but lets go to Pfaff tuning and see if we can get a deal together. Im thinking of getting them to. I'm pretty sure they screw on and maybe a little 3M here and there. Where did you get your GT3 front bumper?

whitecoupe is on a distinguished road
Basalt997,

Double-sided tape didn't work for my car. My body shop tried twice with it but there would just be a gap between the body and the side skirts. We ended up using polyurethane. It's permanent but it worked well.

The TA side skirts goes over the oem sides.

Hope it helps.

Double sided tape usually will work.Be sure to clean surfaces well with a wax and gresase remover. One trick is to make sure the car ,tape and sideskirts are warm.I left my car and parts outside on a hot sunny which will make everything bond alot better.I had no problem with it lifting.

Basalt,

Check out Stacy(justatoy) posts. He knows what he is talking about. If I am not mistaken he installed TA and then changed his mind and made his own

Thanks guys, Info helps a lot. I actually read justatoy's skirt write-up a few months back, and gotta say that was one awesome project...something out of my league, thats for sure.

AJ997S, I didnt do any price comparison shopping as of yet for them, but i will be very soon over winter. Im also in need of some wheels, so im also saving my pennies for some TA formulas. Since the CAD $$ isnt as strong anymore(for now), i wouldnt mind seeing what Pfaff would offer us both for two pairs of skirts.

The GT3 bumper, and red belts i recently ordered from Suncoast. From what i see/hear so far, they got great deals, and great customer service. I didnt install the bumper or the belts as of yet since i kinda want to do everything over the winter, and have the car ready for spring...if being "ready" is ever possible.

I have the TechArt sides on my car. They look phenomenal from about 10' away or farther.. up close whether you use double sided tape, glue, clips, anyhting, IMO there will be a small little gap. I used clear silicone and mine is very snug and tight to the body and can be remove without any damage.

I'm thinking about going with a smaller side skirt (gt2 one perhaps?) so mine will be for sale if someone wants it. They are in great shape.
