Todd - why would the exhaust sound louder with your center muffler than your exhaust with either the bypass or crossover pipes?

I do not want to answer for Todd but the side stock mufflers are very restrictive and muffle the sound a whole lot. When you have just the center stock muffler or AWE's version of a center muffler ONLY the car will be louder.

I thought that car had everything stuck BUT the center muffler replacement. Are you saying that that car had side muffler bypass pipes with a revised center muffler?

If not, my original question stands.

Yes that is the way I understood the AWE post...they removed the side mufflers saving weight and put of their new center muffler.

I am currently running the Fabspeed side muffler by pass pipes and have received great comments on the cars sound outside the car....mostly from our younger generation though...ha ha. Inside the car like you said there is a drone at a certain sound frequency under slight acceleration from 2000-2500rpm...other than that the car sounds great from the inside.

How much less drone does your center muffler have?

thanks!
Mdrums, it sounds like you are are pretty happy with your Fabspeed Side Muffler Bypass Pipes. It sounds like that drone you mentioned at 2000-2500rpm is more of a nuisance than a problem. Are you able to carry on normal conversations and cellphone usage while driving and is there any drone while cruising at highway speed (75mph/3000rpm)? Thanks.

I can talk on the cell phone but it is not the best enviroment to do this. 75mph in 7th is just 2100rpms and 6th is 2800rpms or so. No drone at about 2600rpms...only drone down low.
