As a 997.2 owner I can't wait to see what you guys do. I am especially interested in seeing what you all come up with for exhaust, ecu tuning, suspension and wheel sizes.
Will this be a play by play like Justatoy's thread?
We are having a small problem with our car... Mike put roughly 50 miles on it yesterday... problem is the car is pretty fantastic from the factory!!! The PASM sport(albeit a very laxed diff) is firm and is more controllable than the 996 GT3 with great steering feel.
The new computer is incredibly complex(siemens box) and is always learning... We filled up the tank with 94 upon delivery(at 4 miles) just so we could have high test adaptations settings stored rather than putting in crap dealership gas... The new ecu is so complex that it makes the '09 RSR box look like a toy... This is the future of porsche and luckily we have already gotten in and know how the thing works.
As far as tons of photographs... I will post teasers but we dont like to expose too much R&D before we get ready for production. We have well documented pictures over the entire process so when it comes time for launch we will get the good stuff out.
Mike is going to do a little talk which i will film and put on the net tonight or tomorrow.

Casey - Can't WAIT to see what you guys produce. When Les and I come up to talk about the work you guys will do on SC'ing his Cayman that he just bought, would love to see how the progress of this build is going....Hell, just might leave my car there for you guys to throw a SC in the C4S also....hahahaha.

Believe it or not this is the first Porsche that we have driven that is under braked from the factory... With some research and a quick grab from the Porsche OEM parts bin(best stuff you can buy) we put a set together. Basically it is the equivalent of a factory 997 GT3/Cup system but works with the 997.2 uprights(offsets are different from car to car). Also wrapped the wheels in some Sport Cups as the our white car is getting its first shake down this weekend at VIR. See the pics and ask questions. FWIW, if you are ordering a car from the factory and you dont feel like messing with the suspension down the road the factory Sports Suspension is pretty awesome. Great stance and great performance. Diff is a little on the light side but in terms of street driving with a little bit of track work it does a great job.

Casey, I am confused. The pics look like the stock Red S brakes. The 09 S brakes are the same as the 2005-08 brakes so I am not understanding what you are getting at when you say the 09 is underbraked? I track at Sebring and swap out the stock fluid for either Motul600 or Castrol SRF, put in either Performance Friction PF97 or Pagid RS29 Yellows and when those race pads get up to temp the car will stand up on it's nose when threshold braking. The stock pads work fine for the street and autoX and light DW work.
