I had the chance to go test drive an M3. I would have got a good deal on it (I have good terms with the BMW folks near where I live) but chose to get the non-S 997.
They are all great cars and they all have strengths and weaknesses.
I happen to really like my Carrera.
I'm not saying anything different from you, buy the car best for you.
I happen to like my M3 and it is stronger in certain areas.

I know the turbo has the GT1 one block, is the title of thread the 997S or are we now comparing the M3 to the turbo?
GT1 blocks have had RMS issues as well.

I did not mean to start an argument, just wanted thoughts/experiences about both cars from owners. I personally love BMWs, and that takes a lot to say considering the bull**** I have been through with my last 2 cars....just considering venturing into new territory next time around. I guess a Z06 could be an option as well....if anyone wants to chime in about that, opinions welcome.
