It really depends on why you want the PDK. If you really insist on 'assisted shifting' (not a bad thing by the way - IMO) then wait. The PDK is infinitely better than the auto - the current 'assisted shifting' option. If you can forgo the PDK and are happy with a manual, I wouldn't wait. Too many good deals on existing cars.
That's true. However I don't think the OP is going to find the car he's going to want without specifically ordering it. Also, a bigger point is that I don't think a C4S (which is what I drive) is "reasonably close" to a turbo. Sure, it has the wider back end and AWD, but from a driving/performance standpoint, I think it pretty much ends there. I've had the chance to sit in the passenger seat of a few turbo's when the owner showed me what they can do and I can clearly state that my C4S isn't even close. End of the day, the OP has the funds to spend $135k on a C4S. If he's driven both and knows the performance of the turbo, is very specific on the wants of the car, spend the money and get the turbo exactly like he wants. I know I would (if I had the money).

That's why I originally suggested a 2010 C2S with pdk and the new power kit...with reasonable options the car will be around 100k and be north of 400hp.

How are you liking the 09?
Agree, 2010 C2S w/ pdk and power kit as you suggest would be the best performance/value.
$112k minus 9% discount for a 2009 C4S launch car at my local dealer. PDK, full leather, sport chrono, sport bucket seat, BOSE, NAV, XM, etc. What's the consensus on this?
Just to help paint the complete picture, did you also get 1.9% financing?
Yes, complete with 1.9% financing. It should also be noted that in a few weeks, the sales tax is going from 5% to 6.25%, so completing this purchase now over the Turbo in ~9 months not only saves me the $60k in retail, but the extra couple thousand in taxes too.
