Exclamation possible to get sports chrono option with an ECU flash?

I have a 05 Carrera tip and I don't have sports chorno and recently I flashed my car with softronic and my car doesn't shifts faster or response faster. When I had my Cayman S with sports chrono with sport on. My car shifts faster, response better and more sporty. But I am not getting of this with my 997 after the flash. I thought softronic chip suppose to make my car shifts faster and better mapping but I am not getting any of this. Is it something wrong with softronic's file that they send me or this is normal?

Anything is possible for the right price. That said, I don't believe sports chrono would be economically feasible to add after the fact. There are probably quite a few things that would have to be done in order to get it working, and at the rate Porsche charges for service, it may be cheaper to just sell and buy another car.

Talk to Softronic; they are decent people and can make it happen if you want them to.

I had softronic in my 07 Carrera S with a Tip. Softronic does not do anything to help the Tipronic shift faster and so forth. However Softronic did help with my power through the rpm range. On the street I did no notice too much but at the track I could tell a difference.

He asked me too about this issue and I cannot say much. I do not have tiptronic. I would say major difference I see with softronic is bump of torque in 3.5K rpm area plus it eliminated timing fluctuations I had, hp curve became much more equalized in 5-6.5 rpm area and it feels nicely like a solid constant pull when I hit it there. I let instructors drive my car and it was also noted with a compliment - i mean, smoothness how it keeps pulling until very end. Before softronic it was not as smooth at all.

Higher red line cut off which is on one side is very nice on auto-x as I can usually go entire course on 2nd gear with no shifting, but on over side I am not sure if revving 4 year old standard 3.6L engine into 7500 rpm on regular basis is a bright idea. I am trying not to exceed 7K usually but to have this capacity is nice.

Thanks Mike!

Since I don't track the car, if most of the benefits are felt only at higher RPM, doesn't sound like this is the best way to spend $1k for me. I am sure it's good value for others who track their car or autox

far as I know if you request sports mode from softronic you get the engine remaps, but it doesn't impact the transmission shifts. Talk to them though ... I don't have a tip and wasn't worried about that aspect.

softronic is great! They send me a revision of the file and I uploaded it and yes my shifts are faster than before and I can feel the power gain on 3.5k, 4k til 7.25k fuel cut. But it doesn't behave like my cayman s with the sports mode " on ". I remember my cayman s with sports on i cannot drive it daily with it since the RPMS stays too high but this doesn't occur on my 997.

so you see - any situation can be resolved to more or less satisfactory results. I bet if you would have 6sp transmission you would feel more difference than with softronic, but any way, glad it worked out well for you.
