I remember reading Alex's post some time ago where he was having troubles with the modules of the tail lights conversion on his Kermit. What I wanna know is, have they perfected the conversion yet? I see a set of 09 tail lights on Suncoast, well if they did perfect it, would it be possible to get a DIY guide on the whole conversion or get the updated module itself plus the tail lights? What do you guys think?

Evosport can bang it out for you, I think spend the money and have it done right vs. DIY, unless you own a body shop and access to a PIWIS or whatever its called

I guess I'm thinking of getting the set of the tail lights from Suncoast, and have the car taken to the Porsche dealer since I have no access to PIWIS, and I wanna do the fronts as well, looking for a set LEDs and a bumper now.

The PIWIS tester isn't required for fitting the rear lights on a Carrera. The only tricky part is finding the replacement bumper/modifiying the bumper. I'm not sure about the fronts, we sell many, but I haven't done the modification.
The Turbo is a different story, much more work is required to fit the new lights on a turbo.

PM akshon... he finished up the LED conversion both front and back on his 997.1 GT3 front and rear bumper by 3C Culver City Customs. The front was extensive as he did everything to avoid bondoing his GT3 bumper so he went with extensive "plastic" welding to super fit, finish and flexibility. The rears were matters of shaving down, blending and bumper repaint.
I know for the front, a module is required. The rears were working fine at Cars & Coffee when we went together. Fitment was superb

I was on the phone with the head of mechanical services at Porsche, he checked if they currently carry a 997.2 front bumper and front fog lights (i hope he understood when i meant the daytime running lights), he said they do have both. i told him i m gonna get the led taillights from suncoast and have the rear bumper done at my local. and i told him i can also get the front and rear modules etc and the pins (for turning signals etc) will fit exactly the same as the 997.2 (except Kermit was a 996, so he had some issues with the modules). I will stop by first thing on Monday morning. He quickly checked on the computer that the front bumper was around 1250 Euros, and the fogs (daytime lights?? ) was around 750 euros. When I get the tail lights for around a grand (incl. shipping) and have the rear bumper done with fill ins etc+ installation, i think it comes around 4k-4,5k Euroes over here.
