Third radiator with factory bumper?

Help!!!

I have a 997 S. I would like to install the third radiator. Can I install the third radiator and use the factory bumper or I need the GT3 style front bumper?

Guessing this is a 997.1 C2S? If so, you don't need to change the bumper, but you should have somebody that knows the car to do the install. There's a radiator kit and probably some instructions over at the Suncoast site. The black pastic "plug" obviously comes out of your existing bumper.

I have to ask - why are you doing this? I had my 07 C2S on the track for a couple of years and never had a temperature issue that would warrant a 3rd radiator.

You can.. just get the vent/shroud for the front that opens up. The tiptronic has it since it comes with a third radiator from the factory.

I track my car a lot. I push the car and the engine a lot. In hot days oil temperature goes above 250F mark. It never reaches the 275F mark but if I keep pushing I'm sure it could get there. All fans are working, no leaks, etc...

I usually take one or two cold down laps and then I charge again....

I think a third radiator will help. I did notice that when I use castrol 5w-50w oil, the temperature never pass 250F, when I use Mobil 1 0w-40w oil then it pass 250F. It makes sense the oil difference. However, I expect that even with mobil 1 it should never pass 250F.

Thanks

yes it will work you can get the kit from Suncoast for a few hun and it comes with everything you need just remove the dummy cover in the bumper. And pick a gal of coolant from your local stealer..

I got the kit from Suncoast and installed it myself, it has everything you need except more coolant.

Just remember to put the holes in the bottom of the bumper like on the automatic so the air has somewhere to go.

If you need measurements or a picture PM me with your e-mail and I will forward to you.

It lowered my oil temp.

Also I have switched to 5w-40 Motul oil and like it. The engine actually seems a little quieter.
